Key Responsibilities

1. Take responsibility for designing architecture and solutions for Backend services.
2. Take responsibility in building and maintaining Backend services and own them.
3. Create maintainable, reusable, and reliable services.
4. Ensure the performance, quality, scalability, and availability of applications.
5. Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by team members to ensure quality and consistency. Facilitate and mentor the team.
6. Other tasks assigned by the Company or Line Manager

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
2. Extensive 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
3. Have experience in one or more of API designs/standards: RESTFul APIs, or SOAP, or GraphQL, or gRPC, or RPC.
4. Have good knowledge about computer science, data structures, algorithms, cyber security, system design, and architecture design.
5. Familiarity with database technologies, either relational DB or non-relational DB.
6. Have proficiency in SDLC and processes (such as: Agile/Scrum)
7. Have proficiency with devops automation tools, Git, CI/CD.
8. Have proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
9. Have good knowledge of Operating Systems, Networks.
10. Strong problem-solving skills. Can select solutions among multiple approaches for a problem.
11. Can work in a team or work independently.
12. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Prefer

1. Experience with Microservices, cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)
2. Have proficiency with Go, or Python.
3. Have proficiency with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis.
4. Basic knowledge of Frontend technologies and how Frontend integrates with Backend.
