Key Responsibilities

1. Take responsibility for designing architecture and solutions for Backend services.
2. Take responsibility in building and maintaining Backend services and own them.
3. Create maintainable, reusable, and reliable services.
4. Ensure the performance, quality, scalability, and availability of applications.
5. Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by team members to ensure quality and consistency. Facilitate and mentor the team.
6. Define standards and patterns for the teams and govern them to follow.
7. Manage and motivate one or more backend teams.
8. Train, and coach the team in team working and personal development.
9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
10. Other tasks assigned by the Company or Line Manager

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
2. Extensive 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
3. Have experience in one or more of API designs/standards: RESTFul APIs, or SOAP, or GraphQL, or gRPC, or RPC.
4. Have good knowledge about computer science, data structures, algorithms, cyber security, system design, and architecture design.
5. Familiarity with database technologies, either relational DB or non-relational DB.
6. Have proficiency in SDLC and processes (such as: Agile/Scrum)
7. Have proficiency with devops automation tools, Git, CI/CD.
8. Have proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
9. Have good knowledge of Operating Systems and Networks.
10. Strong problem-solving skills. Can select solutions among multiple approaches for a problem. Can suggest solutions to optimize current services.
11. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
