Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer to improve our data engineer initiatives, develop and maintain our data infrastructure, and drive data-driven decision-making across Vietnam Silicon (VNS).

Responsibilities

1. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, Airflow, YAML, etc.
2. Develop data source/sink connectors, data modeling and transformation using VNS Data Platform Hub, dbt Core, etc.
3. Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical Departments
4. Communicate clearly with Business Departments, requiring strong English skills
5. Manage and optimize Gitlab CI pipelines
6. Work with ArgoCD and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration
7. Utilize AWS services including S3, Firehose API, Athena, Glue, RedShift, and RDS
8. Manage code repositories using Git & GitHub, ensuring proper maintenance and collaboration among team members

Requirements

Must have

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field
2. 3+ years of experience in data analytics or related roles
3. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
4. Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration
5. Strong knowledge of dbt Core for data modeling and data transformation
6. Expertise in BI Tools such as PowerBI, Superset, Metabase for data visualization and dashboard creation
7. Proven track record in writing comprehensive documentation and guidelines for complex products
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
9. Fluent English for effective communication with multi-national teams

Prefer

1. Understand the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data engineer infrastructure
2. Experience in automating reports and analytics processes are pluses
3. Working knowledge of Gitlab CI pipelines
4. Familiarity with ArgoCD and Kubernetes
5. Solid understanding of AWS services, including S3, Firehose API, Athena, Glue, RedShift, and RDS
6. Other GCP, Azure cloud equivalent services are big pluses
7. Proficiency in Git & GitHub for code repository management and collaboration
