Job Brief

As a Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale software projects and client engagements, managing cross-functional teams of up to 200 members. You will lead delivery operations, develop and mentor project managers, ensure exceptional client satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement and business growth. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and effective communication with both internal teams and C-level clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

  1. Oversee end-to-end delivery of software development projects across multiple accounts.
  2. Ensure delivery quality, timeline, and budget are aligned with client expectations and company standards.
  3. Provide oversight and guidance to project managers, including risk mitigation and issue resolution.
  4. Play interim roles such as Project Manager, ODC Manager, or Program Manager when needed.

Client Engagement & Growth

  1. Build and maintain strategic, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  2. Understand client business needs, identify opportunities, and contribute to account growth.
  3. Represent delivery status, risks, and progress clearly and confidently to clients.

People Management

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop teams of delivery managers, project managers, technical leads, and software engineers.
  2. Manage performance, career development, and training plans.
  3. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and coaching of project managers and other key delivery roles.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  1. Define and execute strategic plans for account growth and operational efficiency.
  2. Align delivery strategies with company vision and client business objectives.
  3. Contribute to company-wide initiatives, process optimization, and methodology enhancements.

Process Improvement

  1. Establish and refine delivery frameworks, best practices, and guidelines.
  2. Drive continuous improvement in delivery execution, resource utilization, and project profitability.
  3. Support and lead internal transformation programs and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Experience

  1. 10+ years of experience in the software development industry.
  2. 6+ years of experience in project and delivery management, preferably managing portfolios or programs.
  3. Proven ability to manage large teams (100–200 people) and multi-million-dollar engagements.

Technical & Delivery Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Agile (SCRUM, Kanban), RUP, and DevOps.
  2. Hands-on experience managing application development, managed services, QA/testing services, etc.
  3. Ability to analyze and improve processes, project cost structures, and delivery performance.

Leadership & Communication

  1. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Vietnamese, with strong presentation skills.
  3. Comfortable delivering updates and proposals to senior executives and clients.

Education & Certifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  2. PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or Certified ScrumMaster certification (preferred).
